Ionia is fortunate to be located where all kinds of sports and outdoor activities are close at hand. Whether your pleasure is summer activities, winter fun, or just relaxing, you will find it in Ionia. Six inland lakes surround Ionia and Lake Michigan is a pleasant drive away. From golf courses to campgrounds, all are close enough to be accessible and far enough away for relaxation. We invite you to visit the Ionia State Recreation Area, Bertha Brock Park, and a number of beautiful city parks.
Ionia residents have a variety of shopping options. The Main Street Business District provides an interesting mix of specialty shops and services, owned and operated by your neighbors. Shop for fresh fruits and vegetables at the Farmers’ Market beginning in June and running through September. The M-66 retail corridor offers additional shopping to compliment the historic downtown.
